The Process

Course Selection and Navigating UCAS

We begin by discussing your aims, which subjects you are considering applying for and which universities you are considering apply to. We discuss your academic strengths and areas in which you want to strengthen your profile.

Targeted Reading & Critical Thinking

Admissions boards take particular notice of personal statements that demonstrate critical engagement with subject material. This signals that you are not only a list of grades, but someone who already thinks like a scholar. We develop this by interrogating these texts together and developing your perspective in Socratic-style dialogue

Profile Building

Students who engage in extracurricular opportunities and take advantage of unique opportunities like essay competitions stand out. I help you develop this profile by designing an action plan that positions you for as many as these opportunities as possible - so that by the time you sit down to write your statement, you already have a compelling story to tell.

Personal Statement Advice

Finally, I help you craft a personal statement that brings your voice and academic journey to life. I offer practical advice on how to craft a compelling narrative and execute it effectively.
